As we grow we’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Estimator to join our team.
Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for painting, drywall, and carpentry projects in both residential and commercial sectors. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the success of every bid and job.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to develop accurate cost estimates
- Conduct site visits to. assess project scope and logistics
- Prepare and submit bids, proposals, and takeoffs in a timely manner
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and availability
- Track and manage multiple ongoing bids and update estimates as needed
- Support project transitions from estimation to execution
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in construction estimating, preferably in Paint, Drywall, Carpentry, FRP, ACT, and Wall Covering
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices
- Proficiency in estimating software (On-screen Take Off and Quick Bid)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Preferred: Familiarity with Reno and surrounding areas
